Perinatal Mental Health Certified (PMH-C)

0_PSI PMH-C Seal and Logotype.jpg

PMH-C is a designation from Postpartum Support International (PSI) that provides a standard of education and experience to specialize in the field of perinatal (pregnancy and postpartum) mental health.

At minimum, PMH-C's have:

- Two years experience working with the perinatal population

- Basic and advanced training in the field of Perinatal Mental Health

- Completed a certification exam

- Regular specialized trainings to maintain certification

As someone with lived experience going through birth trauma and mental health difficulties in the perinatal period, maintaining my PMH-C is extremely important to me.  I know the uniqueness of perinatal mental health, and I value being certified as a way to build trust with clients struggling in this area.  I feel deeply grateful for the opportunity to work with this population and be active in this community.

I provide regular presentations for groups of new and expectant moms around Edmonton and Area.  I love being able to spread awareness about perinatal mental health.
